Security Enhancements
SCV35 has invested bond dollars for security enhancements across the district. Radios and cameras are currently being installed at all sites and on school buses. Other separately funded measures include card readers for digitally secure access to key locations across the district.
Security Training
- In addition to security equipment enhancements, staff and students also train regularly for emergencies. Some of the training completed this school year includes:
- "Stop the Bleed, Save a Life," a first aid program that teaches how to administer first aid to an injured person for high school students and staff
- Quarterly training by the Southern Arizona School Safety Preparedness Consortium
- Active Shooter Incident Management Training
- Regularly scheduled emergency drill training for all sites
